THE ARCS RELEASE THEIR FIRST FULL LENGTH ALBUM IN 8 YEARS, ‘ELECTROPHONIC CHRONIC’

Today, The Arcs released Electrophonic Chronic their first album in 8 years, since 2015’s critically-lauded Yours, Dreamily. Born of the band’s mutual obsession with recording and crate-digging, Electrophonic Chronic pulls inspiration from vast sonic archives of vintage soul and old school garage rock.
Dan Auerbach and Leon Michels have also been spinning selects from those sonic archives in a series of intimate DJ sets across London and Paris, plus upcoming shows in New York and Los Angeles this week. Check out the dates below and read more about the announcement over at Rolling Stone.

“It doesn’t deviate too far from the swirl of its vibrant sound with Mariachi-like horns, soulful string synth sound beds, bluesy guitar riffs, and deep drum machine rhythms. Fear not, it isn’t too much of the same thing, Auerbach’s sense of melody takes care of that, it simply creates a smooth-flowing record that breezes along to completion without any blips or major blemishes. The result helps to lift the spirits of the album’s deep meaning and it should do the same for the listener too.” ~ Far Out Magazine
